Privacy notice

YPO Forums Hub is an independent, free project built by YPO members for their forums. It is not an official YPO product. This page explains what data we keep, why, and who can see it.
What we keep
Your account: name, email, language, role (member, moderator, admin) and the forum or chapter you belong to. Your password is stored with a one-way hash; nobody can read it.
What your forum creates in the app: sessions, events and RSVPs, expenses and how they are split, and photos.
Chat messages: they are encrypted on your device before they are sent. The server only stores the encrypted text and cannot read it.
Technical data: IP address and browser in the security and activity logs, and what is needed to send you notifications if you turn them on.
Why we use it
Only to run the app: give you access, show your forum its information, send you account emails (verification, password, invitations, notices) and protect the service from abuse.
We do not sell your data, we show no ads, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Who can see it
A forum's content is visible only to that forum's members. Not other forums, and not the chapter admin or the platform admin from their dashboards.
Admins do see account details (name, email, role and forum) so they can set people up and help them.
Where it is stored
The database and photos are hosted on Google Cloud in Belgium (European Union). Emails are sent through Google. If you donate, Stripe processes the payment; we never see your card details.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and another to remember your language. No advertising or third-party analytics cookies. The home page loads its font from Google Fonts.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. You can delete it yourself from Profile → Delete my account: your name, email, messages, chat keys and notifications are erased, and you are signed out on every device.
What you shared with your forum (for example expenses or events) stays for the other members, but no longer carries your name. Backups are deleted automatically within 14 days.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data in your Profile, delete your account at any time and ask us for a copy of your data. For any request, write to us through the “Book a demo” page or ask your chapter admin.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date above and, for important changes, let you know inside the app.
